As the title implies, this post will not be focused on a baseball topic, but is instead a way for me to address what is going on currently in my life and what that means for this site.
For the last year, I’ve been working towards acquiring my Masters in Sports Business from NYU. The program has been exceptional in my growth as an aspiring professional in the sports world, and this spring will be the culmination of my work there. In May, I’ll be graduating and searching for my first full-time job in the space, ideally in New York City.
In addition to grad school, this spring I am interning at Jomboy Media, a creator-led sports media company that combines the passion of sports fans with entertaining, yet informing analysis. As a research & stats intern, I’m working with Jomboy Media creators on shows like Talkin’ Baseball, Things You Missed, and more. It’s the perfect opportunity for me to use the knowledge and skills I’ve developed through this blog and enhance them even further. If you aren’t familiar with their work and are interested in becoming more comfortable with baseball or football, I highly recommend giving some of their content a listen.
If there is a drop off in my amount of posts recently, it’s because of this new start with JM, but I hope to be back to more consistency soon as the season gets rolling.
Going forward, I have no plans to stop creating posts for this site, trying to share my passion for the game of baseball and the greater sports world with audiences who may or may not already be familiar with them. If there are any suggestions as to ways to improve this site, the topics being written about, their explanations, or you simply want to connect to talk about careers or sports, please contact me via my LinkedIn (attached here) and I’d love to talk. Thank you for the support as I look to the next step of my life and career.
